Site Utilities
Underground from the tap to the building: storm drain and detention, water and fire lines, and sanitary sewer, installed to the engineer’s and the utility’s standards and tested before anything is covered.
Scope
What is included
Anything not listed, ask. We will tell you straight whether it is ours.
-
Storm drain
RCP, HDPE and box culverts, inlets, junction boxes and headwalls set to line and grade.
-
Detention and retention
Ponds and underground systems excavated, lined and outfitted to the plan.
-
Water and fire lines
Mains, services and fire lines with thrust blocking, valves and hydrants to the utility spec.
-
Sanitary sewer
Gravity mains, laterals and manholes to line and grade, with testing.
-
Testing and inspection
Pressure, mandrel and vacuum tests coordinated with the utility and the inspector.
-
Trench safety
Shoring, boxes and benching to the depth. Nobody in an unprotected trench.
How we run it
On the job
- Utility locates called and verified before the first bucket goes in.
- Storm drain laid to the engineer’s inverts and recorded for the as-built.
- Testing scheduled with the inspector before cover, never after.

Questions we get
Do you provide as-builts for the storm system?
Yes. Inverts and structure locations are recorded as we go and handed to the GC or engineer at completion.
Do you do dry utilities too?
We cut and backfill the trench for the electric and telecom contractors when it is in the scope. The conduit and cable are theirs.
